Born in Cari­mate, Italy, Carlo Colombo is one of the design­ers with whom Cappellini has estab­lished one of the strongest and most plea­sur­able profes­sional collab­o­ra­tions. Thanks to his versa­til­ity, Carlo Colombo has worked on numer­ous projects, most promi­nently the Zigo Zago carpet, the Hot Palm Springs sofa, and the Minis­teel table series.

He has over­seen the refur­bish­ing of public and private build­ings such as show­rooms, offices, restau­rants, and villas while provid­ing consult­ing for the furni­ture sector’s leading companies.

To this day, Carlo Colombo works for Moroso, Poliform, Varenna, Poltrona Frau, and Flou. Among his most note­wor­thy accom­plish­ments is the Tokyo ​“Designer of the Year” award in 2004 and the Hong Kong Louvre Gallery’s creation, an exhi­bi­tion space for top-quality design products.
