Teixidors

Teix­i­dors is a Barcelona based textile brand with a social voca­tion aimed at achiev­ing social inte­gra­tion of people with intel­lec­tual disabil­i­ties. This objec­tive has laid the foun­da­tion for over 30 years of award-winning design created on manual looms in their own work­shop. Singu­lar­ity infuses their projects; from the natural fibers to exquis­ite throws, bedspreads and more. Teix­i­dors source the highest quality raw mate­ri­als, like cash­mere and hand combed baby Yak wool from a coop­er­a­tive in Mongo­lia, and ecolog­i­cal Merino wool from a small farm in Provence.

Today Teixidors’s exquis­ite blan­kets, pillows, throws, and towels can be found in some of the most pres­ti­gious stores in the world and in inte­ri­ors and luxury hotels such as The Barcelona Edition, Hotel Neri and Monu­ment Hotel, also in Barcelona. The storied brand has worked with the likes of John Pawson and Faye Toogood to create exclu­sive collec­tions. Teix­i­dors is becom­ing increas­ingly focused on tailor-made projects. Teix­i­dors is also part of the non-profit orga­ni­za­tion, Fundació Privada Pres­i­dent Amat Roumens (FUPAR) based in Terrassa, Barcelona.
