Alex Nesting Tables
Philippe Allaeyes’ e15 Alex nesting tables have a stunning simplicity. Each of the three escalating sizes of the Alex nesting tables features a simple thick circular top with three legs. The legs are characterized by their atypical square-shaped form. The e15 Alex nesting tables create a sculptural single table with their repetitive shapes and escalating scale – when separated, they become three practical surfaces. For added versatility, the sturdy 1.1” thick tops allow them to be used as informal stools.
Born in Belgium, Philippe Allaeyes is an architect, furniture designer, and creative director. He spent the first years of his career as a freelance architect, designing residential, corporate, retail, and hospitality projects. Allaeyes established the ZO Group in the 1980s, a creative company that focused on furniture design. By 1992, he established APHA Furniture, where he is now the creative director. Allaeyes focuses his designs on the inherent properties of the material and minimal designs. Much of his furniture work is in wood, and he developed various pieces for e15, including the ISAAC folding tables, the NOAH bed, the THEO tray, and two side tables: ALEX and LEILA.
The e15 Alex nesting tables are available in e15’s classic composition of solid northern European oiled oak or walnut as well as black or white lacquered solid oak.
