The Fariba sideboard designed by Philipp Mainzer for e15 is part of a profoundly elegant group of storage pieces that Mainzer developed between 1999 to 2002 – each a celebration of the aesthetics of solid wood engendered by the precise and thoughtful arrangement of the material’s natural grain and striations. The Fariba sideboard not only provides a practical storage solution, but it also becomes a sculptural focal point in any interior in which it is placed.
The Fariba sideboard features a composition in .75” thick solid wood. The three-door panels have been cleverly engineered with unseen milled grooves and aluminum strips that allow for their stability without any visible support frame. The storage spaces behind the doors have been organized into small and large areas. The small area is located behind a single front panel door; the large area is located behind two of the front panel doors. Each of these areas has been subdivided with a shelf. The simple rectilinear base is frame is composed of .75” thick squared tubular brushed stainless steel that has been beautifully mitered at 45 degrees to create the base’s four right angles.
The Fariba sideboard is available in a choice of northern European oiled oak or walnut.
