Galleria Seating System
The Galleria seating system, designed by PearsonLloyd for Tacchini, is developed around a simple steel bar, which freely attaches to the various simple, geometrically-shaped elements: a linear bench, a double corner seat, an island perfect for waiting, relaxation, and conviviality. Galleria offers versatility to create a vast range of different solutions. Available in wood, leather, fabric, marble, and metal painted in a range of colors. Each composition can be used on its own or in groups, offering endless possibilities for use that will blend beautifully with any space or style.

A London based design firm, PearsonLloyd is a partnership that was created by Luke Pearson and Tom Lloyd in 1997. As an all-encompassing design studio, their work has spanned aviation, workplaces, urban design, healthcare facilities, and furniture design. With a thought-provoking goal to "identify and respond to the shifting patterns of behavior in contemporary life" PearsonLloyd pays particular attention to the human experience in all aspects of their work. In recognition of their work, PearsonLloyd was named Royal Designers for Industry by The Royal Society of Arts in 2008.
The agency’s work is driven by a need to understand and interpret a world that is experiencing rapid and often unexpected change. Its in-depth research into these changes – in both the material and digital world – enables PearsonLloyd to create design solutions that are appropriate and relevant for manufacturers, brands, and users. The studio is highly collaborative in its approach. It embraces the restrictions imposed by product type, function, material and process and delivers products that are beautiful, efficient and useful.
Luke and Tom were awarded the distinction of Royal Designers for Industry by The Royal Society of Arts in 2008 and in 2012 were named in the top 50 designers ‘Shaping the Future’ by Fast-Co Magazine in New York. They have lectured for a number of years at ECAL and the RCA and regularly talk at international platforms.
