LC2 Petit Confort

The LC2 Petit Confort, or Fauteuil Grand Confort — petit modèle by Cassina was orig­i­nally designed as seating for the Villa Church in 1928 with produc­tion begin­ning in 1965. The LC2 seating series, along with the more gener­ously propor­tioned LC3 seating group, includes a club chair along with two and three seat sofas. Grand Confort is perhaps the most iconic collec­tion of seating ever created and accord­ingly is one of the most copied. Char­lotte Perriand referred to the LC2 and LC3 seating as ​“cushion baskets” as their squared and recti­lin­ear forms feature an exte­rior perime­ter of tubular steel rails into which recti­lin­ear cush­ions have been inserted to liter­ally ​“pad” the interior. 

The LC2 is avail­able in a number of enamel finishes as well as chromed steel – its foam-filled cush­ions feature a choice of poly­ester or down padding and are avail­able in a number of textile and leather upholstery options.
