or Call to Order

The Loafer SC23 lounge chair a design by Space Copenhagen for &Tradition is intimate yet, open. Even in public spaces, it somehow makes you feel safe and protected. It’s quite a challenge to create a design for a legendary building filled with iconic classics. Let alone the SAS Royal Hotel by one of Denmark’s own icons – Arne Jacobsen.

Rounded in the back with a flat surface facing front, Loafer boasts a look that’s soft yet sharp. As the name implies, Loafer is all about relaxing. You can feel comfortable alone in your own world and equally at ease conversing with others, with several Loafers clustered together. The Loafer SC24 Chair, Loafer SC25, and Loafer SC26 sofas are also available as part of our collection.

Space Copenhagen

Denmark

Established in 2005 by Signe Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou, Space Copenhagen is a design studio that works across multiple disciplines from furniture, lighting and refined objects, to art installations, art direction and interior design for private homes, hotels and restaurants all over the world.

The ambition is to forge new paths by balancing opposites — classic and modern, industrial and organic, sculptural and minimal, light and shade. Duality and contrast. Curiosity as a fundamental human condition. The studio’s intuitive approach embodies designs that are distinctively shaped by the given circumstances, functional needs, and a fundamental interest in human behavior. It is a sense of and belief in a slow aesthetic that centers quality and longevity.
