The M10 chair is light yet perfectly balanced, and during its debut in 2014 – ahead of its time. The wood frame is suspended on a upside-down “Y” shape, where the slim-line legs conceal a metal core that provides support for the whole. The low-profile padded seat is warm, welcoming and confers an elegant and refined tone to a masterpiece of carpentry.
The challenge that Cassina’s Centro Ricerca e Sviluppo (Research and Development Unit) undertook was to look in-depth at the materials and the characteristics that maximize a product’s stability and durability. Seemingly simple, yet extremely innovative, the M10 went on to revolutionize the construction of Cassina’s classic chairs, this thanks to a highly complex manufacturing process.
