Kelly Lounge Chair
The Kelly Lounge Chair designed by Claesson Koivisto Rune for Tacchini is part of a series of chairs inspired by the painted works by Ellsworth Kelly. The bright colors and irregular shapes of the Kelly Lounge Chair taps into the way that Ellsworth Kelly viewed his art; he believed that through “color and tonality the shape finds its own space and demands its freedom and separateness.” The chair’s bright colors and irregular shapes play with angles, curves, edges, and mass. The Kelly Lounge Chair reclines back in a cradling swoop that invites relaxation. The upholstered seat and backrests are nestled into sleek metal frames and are available in various textile options.
