Theo Tray

c. 2000

by Philippe Allaeys
for e15

The Theo tray is large enough to hold breakfast, newspaper, and coffee all at once and still look beautiful. The large Theo tray also functions as a low-profile, enigmatic storage surface when used in conjunction with any e15 bed, like the Noah bed. The Theo Tray is personal staff favorite, and we do showcase it on our showroom. The Theo tray is available in two rectilinear sizes. Each is composed of solid European oiled oak or walnut and features a wood thickness of .75”. Theo’s form makes for a striking serving tray in either size; the large version will easily do double-duty as a catch-all for books, magazines, and newspapers.

Philippe Allaeys

Belgium (1960)

Born in Belgium, Philippe Allaeys is an architect, furniture designer, and creative director. He spent the first years of his career as a freelance architect, designing residential, corporate, retail, and hospitality projects. Allaeys established the ZO Group in the 1980s, a creative company that focused on furniture design. By 1992, he established APHA Furniture, where he is now the creative director. Allaeys focuses his designs on the inherent properties of the material and minimal designs. Much of his furniture work is in wood, and he developed various pieces for e15, including the ISAAC folding tables, the NOAH bed, the THEO tray, and two side tables: ALEX and LEILA.
