Introducing our new partnership with Kvadrat as a distributor of the Kvadrat/Raf Simons textile collection.
The 2020 update to this long-running collaboration two new upholstery fabrics from the legendary designer. Helia re-envisions Astrakhan Persian lamb in a bouclé of worsted wool, with rich shades of yellow, maroon, orange, and duck egg blue complimenting neutral options. Silas utilizes new wool in a fresh take on velvet, steam treated for exceptional softness and volume, in a full variety of earth tones — ideal covers for each of the three new cushion options. Finally, Simon’s beloved tweedy Sunniva textile returns in almost three dozen colorways ranging from clay to dark forest.
Raf Simons is among the most accomplished designers of his generation. Over the course of a two-decade career, he has headed four of the world’s premier fashion houses: Jil Sander, Dior, Calvin Klein, and Prada, along with his own eponymous line. Since 2014, he has collaborated with Kvadrat, bringing his eye for sharp silhouettes and artistic restraint to textile and accessories.
Founded in 1968, the Danish textile master Kvadrat remains at the top of its field. With a list of bona fide classics on its rolls — Nanna Ditzel’s Hallingdal; Finn Skødt’s Divina Mélange; and Nina Koppel’s Tonus, to name just a few— Kvadrat nevertheless keeps its eyes on the future, collaborating with the cream of contemporary design while providing bespoke options for MoMA, the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, the Guangzhou Opera House, and countless residential and office spaces around the world.
