Denis Santachiara

Denis Santachiara is an Italian designer based in Milan, his work encom­passes design­ing furni­ture, product design, light­ing design, archi­tec­ture, and inte­rior design. His work is often described as a marry­ing of art and design, where he is often inspired by inno­v­a­tive tech­nolo­gies and actively looks to incor­po­rate this inno­va­tion into his designs. Santachiara was born in Campag­nola, Reggio Emilia, Italy and now resides in Milan where his Studio Santachiara is based. His notable works include the Aurea Lamp he created for Fontana Arte in 2005, as well as his design for the inte­ri­ors of the Char­ter­house of Avignon in 1992 for the French Ministry of Culture. Santachiara’s work is exhib­ited at various museums around the world, includ­ing MoMA in New York City, Musee des Arts Deco­rat­ifs at the Louvre in Paris, the National Museum of Modern Art in Tokyo, as well as the Vitra Museum in Rhine, Germany.
