Gunnar Aagaard Andersen

Gunnar Aagaard Ander­sen is an artist, sculp­tor, archi­tect, furni­ture, and textile designer and pioneer of Danish Modern Art. A grad­u­ate of Denmark’s School of Arts and Crafts, his output explored non-figu­ra­tive expres­sion­ism, the refrac­tion of light, the nature of color, and the struc­ture of the form. 

In devel­op­ing his work, Gunnar Aagaard Ander­sen consis­tently exper­i­mented with unex­pected media and inno­v­a­tive mate­ri­als. He derived his motifs from sensual impres­sions, trans­form­ing them into visual, dynamic forms.
