Janský & Dunděra

Matěj Janský and Cyril Dunděra met as furni­ture studio class­mates at the age of 16. From there, the two had an inseper­a­ble bond that allowed them to collab­o­rate creatively for years to come. The duo studied Archi­tec­ture at CTU Prague and Furni­ture & Inte­rior Design at the Academy of Arts, Archi­tec­ture and Design in Prague, and at the Konst­fack in Stockholm.

Their profes­sional career started at the Swedish Claes­son Koivisto Rune studio, and after exhibit­ing at the Salone del Mobile in Milan a strong connec­tion to the world of Italian design was built. From glass­mak­ing to fashion, Janský and Dunděra now collab­o­rate with a wide variety of brands, offer­ing excel­lent craft­man­ship. Their most iconic collab­o­ra­tion thus far has been with Cappellini, where they designed the refined and elegant Hiroi lounge chair.
