Mist-o

Mist‑o is an Italian / Japan­ese design studio. Estab­lished in 2012 by Noa Ikeuchi, Japan­ese, and Tommaso Nani, from Italy. The studio is based in Tokyo and Milan. The two met while they were attend­ing the Euro­pean Insti­tute of Design and started working together on various projects, some of which were soon exhib­ited at Salone Satel­lite, Trien­nale Design Museum, and the MOMA design store.

In 2010 they estab­lished together their own office named Mist‑o, based in Milan and Tokyo, working in differ­ent fields, ranging from Inte­rior design to art direc­tion and graphic. Tommaso and Noa divide their lives between Japan and Italy working between the two coun­tries. Even if their back­ground is very differ­ent, they found a common ground in the constant research to simplify the expres­sion, combin­ing a spon­ta­neous approach with a rigor­ous and logic methodology.

The studio collab­o­rates with design brand such as Antolini, Atipico, Cappellini, Ex‑t, Frag, Ichen­dorf, Living Divani, L’Abitare, Mogg, Oluce.
