Rikke Frost
DENMARK
Rikke Frost trained as an industrial designer at the School of Architecture in Aarhus, but her interest in crafts and materials led to a focus on furniture design. In 2004 she established Rikke Frost Design, a creative multi-disciplined company in Aarhus, and since has created for several renowned Danish and international companies - including Carl Hansen and Son. Her process is efficient, particularly concerning materials, shapes, and translating craft methods to modern production. The results are tactile and functionally unique, nodding to Scandinavian heritage but very much looking toward the future.
