In 1969, Afra and Tobia Scarpa designed the Soriana chaise, a bold yet comfortable statement with abundant curves and relaxed creases. In 2021, Cassina has now reintroduced this modern classic with a selection of chromatic combinations that match lush fabrics and soft leathers. To meet the demands of the fans of the original version, it will also be available with a chrome brace.
The original, polyurethane structure of this version has been completely substituted with a series of bags filled with microspheres made from BioFoam®, the first patented foam to have an organic base made from biopolymers produced from natural resources. This material is hardwearing and suitable for long- term use while it is also biodegradable and can be industrially composted.
