or Call to Order

Technicolour Flock, a design by Peter Saville for Kvadrat, is a rug that celebrates the connection between wool production and the sheep themselves. The crafting process for this rug involves hand-spinning colored flocks of wool, resulting in irregular and voluminous weft yarns that mirror the diversity of individual sheep and their unique colorations.

This meticulous approach ensures that each rug in the Flock collection possesses its distinct color expression, much like the varied hues found among a flock of sheep. The five available colorways blend natural wool tones with pigments reminiscent of those used to mark sheep, creating a harmonious yet visually dynamic palette.

Technicolour Flock adds warmth, character, and a touch of whimsy to any interior space with its rich texture, individualized color variations, and nod to the natural world. Whether used as a focal point or as a complementary element in a room, Flock invites tactile exploration and visual delight.

Peter Saville

UNITED KINGDOM

Peter Saville grew up in Manchester, Lancashire, and received his early education at St. Ambrose College. In 1965, he attended Manchester Polytechnic to study graphic design and remained there till 1978.

Peter Saville is deemed one of the generation's most famous British graphic designers and art directors. He gained popularity by designing several record sleeves for Factory Records while serving as art director of the studios.

Unlike most 'commercial artists' of the time, and indeed since, Saville was free to create without approval. He made his art in the context of mass production, accessing an audience through pop music, best shown in the series of record sleeves he created for Joy Division and New Order between 1979 and 1993.

Throughout the years, Peter Saville produced brilliant artwork, achieving creative and commercial success.
