Francesco Rota

Italy (1966)

Inte­rior and product designer Francesco Rota was born in 1966, Milan, Italy. In 1994, he grad­u­ated from the Art Center College of Design in La Tour Peliz, Switzer­land. In 1995 he went back to Milan and estab­lishes the Francesco Rota Design Office, and began collab­o­rat­ing with Italian and foreign companies. 

His major works include show­room design for Versus and John Rich­mond; show­room design for L’Oreal; office, and show­room and ware­house inte­rior design for the Oluce Factory and Head­quar­ters in Milan.

He has also produced several light­ing fixtures designs for Oluce includ­ing Ibiza, an outdoor lamp with an inte­grated loud­speaker, and a whole collec­tion of prod­ucts for Martini & Rossi to create brand aware­ness through­out the use of the person­al­ized prod­ucts during special events in selected public spaces.

Since 2004 Francesco Rota has been an at the Euro­pean Design Insti­tute of Milan for product design masters program.
