The Line wall lamp, designed by Francesco Rota for Oluce, uses a special Pyrex glass to portray a minimal image. The line is of gener­ous size, the mate­r­ial being made of polished aluminum coating. It has two light sources that diffuse the light both upwards and down­wards. Avail­able in two sizes

Francesco Rota

Italy

Interior and product designer Francesco Rota was born in 1966, Milan, Italy. In 1994, he graduated from the Art Center College of Design in La Tour Peliz, Switzerland. In 1995 he went back to Milan and establishes the Francesco Rota Design Office, and began collaborating with Italian and foreign companies.

His major works include showroom design for Versus and John Richmond; showroom design for L’Oreal; office, and showroom and warehouse interior design for the Oluce Factory and Headquarters in Milan.

He has also produced several lighting fixtures designs for Oluce including Ibiza, an outdoor lamp with an integrated loudspeaker, and a whole collection of products for Martini & Rossi to create brand awareness throughout the use of the personalized products during special events in selected public spaces.

Since 2004 Francesco Rota has been an at the European Design Institute of Milan for product design masters program.
