or Call to Order

German designer Sebastian Herkner unveils the Aarde planter collection for Indigenus, inspired by his beautiful honeymoon in South Africa. Aarde, meaning earth” in Afrikaans, encapsulates the myriad facets, hues, and textures encountered across this diverse land.

Reflecting Africa’s cultural tapestry, demographic richness, and ethereal light, the Aarde collection takes shape as a testament to Sebastian’s profound journey. Each piece reveals subtle, overlapping layers of varying depths, meticulously designed to harness the interplay of light and mineral essence observed in the breathtaking natural landscapes that inspired him.

The color palette of the Aarde collection speaks volumes, telling the captivating tale Sebastian yearned to convey. Earthy tones, such as deep browns, vibrant reds, and warm sandstones, form an intrinsic part of this narrative, embodying the raw beauty and organic essence that resonated deeply with the designer’s soul.

The Tricolore Vases for &tradition are a fantastic fusion of color, ingenuity, and artisanry. Each set is comprised of two cylindrical glass vases of different heights, each in a different color. Pair them together and you have a third color – hence the name.
