or Call to Order

Marcel Wanders Studio interprets a fusion of natural and industrial elements to create the Cyborg Stick chair. A simple, four-leg base of air-molded polycarbonate combines with a back in solid ash, natural or painted, creating an intriguing tension between materials but a harmonious overall expression.

Also available is a cushion in expanded polyurethane covered in fabric (Kvadrat Divina MD,” Divina Mélange,” and Remix”).

Netherlands

Born in 1963, Marcel Wanders is a Dutch designer and art director, who gained a following after the debut of his Knotted Chair in 1996. He opened Powerhouse Studio in Amsterdam in 2000, where he developed furniture pieces of his own design and welcomed projects with other international design specialists. Shortly after he founded his own studio, he became the co-founder of the design label Moooi. Wanders invited over 50 international designers in 2014 to his Powerhouse Studio, which resulted in partnerships of over 1700+ projects for both private clients and product design development. His collaborations include projects with Alessi, Flos, and Swarovski. In 2015, Wanders created a prefabricated house named Eden for Revolution Precrafted.
