Jasper Morrison

Jasper Morri­son is a British designer, born in London in 1959. He is best known for his indus­trial design work that uses thought­ful design to create mass-produced pieces using advanced tech­nol­ogy. Morrison’s design work encom­passes furni­ture design, product design, art direc­tion, and author­ing design books. Morri­son studied at the Kingston Poly­tec­nic Design School and The Royal College of Art in London, earning both a Bach­e­lors and Masters degree in Design. 

Through­out the 2000’s he designed kitchen appli­ances for Rowenta, and opened the Jasper Morri­son Shop in 2008 in the build­ing adja­cent to his design studio. Morri­son has collab­o­rated with many compa­nies through­out his career, includ­ing Aram, Cappellini, Vitra, Alessi, Flos, Magis, Rosen­thal, Camper, Kettle, and Maharam. In 2014 Morri­son created furni­ture for Tate Modern. Through­out his career he has written books about design, includ­ing A Book Of Things, Every­thing But The Walls, and A World Without Words.
