Sengu Bold Sofa
The Sengu Bold is a new edition of the Sengu Sofa system projecting the same absolute comfort but rewritten with a bold, unmistakable character. Thanks to its open, naturally inviting shapes, the system encourages celebrations of conviviality. The new version drops the original Japanese-inspired wood base, taking its soft curves down to the floor. A bold gesture meant to emphasize its commitment to hospitality. The comfort of its namesake is upheld through generous proportions but goes even further with more exemplary padding. Upholstery fabrics have also been updated in ‘bold’ magnified textures, accentuating the padding’s soft lines.
Sengu Bold is a floor sofa known for its different, unconventional arrangements and shared features, like natural materials and colors, achieved by combining different sized modules. Pair center, corner, and end elements, with or without armrests – including the option to add a chaise longue and ottoman. The seat frame is designed with maximum comfort with plywood and elastic webbing. The seat cushion comprises two parts: an internal component in polyurethane foam with a plant-based variable-density percentage and an exterior element in blown recycled PET fiber encased in recycled-PET fabric. Padding for the loose backrest cushions is also composed of blown recycled PET fiber. As with the Sengu Sofa, the leather or fabric upholstery from the Cassina Collection is removable, extending its longevity and sustainability.
