Morten Gottler

Morten Gottler is a self-taught designer and archi­tect recog­nized for his excep­tional under­stand­ing of wood. The Danish designer was born in Copen­hagen and began his career in the ship­ping indus­try. In 1972, he opened his design studio and devel­oped a wide range of prod­ucts, includ­ing domes­tic art, pack­ag­ing, toys, graph­ics, and light­ing on an inter­na­tional scale. It wasn’t until 1984 that his focus shifted primar­ily to furni­ture design. His approach is rooted in Scan­di­na­vian design tradi­tion. The pieces are well-thought-out in form, char­ac­ter­is­ti­cally uncom­pli­cated, with a clean aesthetic.
