Char­ac­ter­ized by soft lines, slender shells and a comfort­able cushion, the Orla small lounge chair by Jasper Morri­son is a taste­ful addi­tion to both domes­tic and contract settings. For this small lounge chair, the cover is fixed for both the struc­ture and the cush­ions, all of which are also avail­able in the fabrics and leathers in the collec­tion. The struc­ture, made of foam, is avail­able fixed or swivel­ing. All versions are padded with multi-density polyurethane foam and fiber.

The Orla collec­tion is composed of two and three-seaters, small lounge chairs, larger lounge chairs, and poufs.

Jasper Morrison

United Kingdom (1959)

Jasper Morrison is a British designer, born in London in 1959. He is best known for his industrial design work that uses thoughtful design to create mass-produced pieces using advanced technology. Morrison’s design work encompasses furniture design, product design, art direction, and authoring design books. Morrison studied at the Kingston Polytecnic Design School and The Royal College of Art in London, earning both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Design.

Throughout the 2000’s he designed kitchen appliances for Rowenta, and opened the Jasper Morrison Shop in 2008 in the building adjacent to his design studio. Morrison has collaborated with many companies throughout his career, including Aram, Cappellini, Vitra, Alessi, Flos, Magis, Rosenthal, Camper, Kettle, and Maharam. In 2014 Morrison created furniture for Tate Modern. Throughout his career he has written books about design, including A Book Of Things, Everything But The Walls, and A World Without Words.
