Soft Corners Low Table
for Cassina
Soft Corners is a collection of architectural pieces, marking the Cassina debut of Dutch designer Linde Freya Tangelder. The industrial-style low table, made of stainless steel, is a functional piece with minimalist lines and a sculptural look designed for contemporary décor. It is composed of three parts that fit together seamlessly but with an interesting interplay of negative and positive space. Curved lines echo the upholstered pieces of the same collection and thus can overlay one of the three ottomans in an eloquent juxtaposition of warm and cold materials. In addition to providing a table-top surface, magazines or objects can be placed inside it, underscoring the versatility of its design.
Available in brushed stainless steel or textured cast iron painted.

Linde Freya Tangelder
Linde Freya Tangelder is a furniture, product, and interior designer based in Belgium, where she founded her studio, Destroyers/Builders, in 2014. The studio strives for sensory relevance and cultural value in detail and on a larger scale, taking on projects that range from limited editions to commissioned assignments. Inspired by architectural shapes, the furniture pieces highlight the field between industry and humanity through diverse materials. Both low and high-end materials get re-valued, reconsidered, and transformed. The results are tactile, sculptural, and architectural, balanced between contemporary and traditional designs. Since opening her studio, in 2019, Tangelder was named Designer of the Year by Biennale Interieur in Belgium. In 2022, she created Soft Corners, her debut collaboration with Cassina, an ottoman series and low table featured in their Living Collection.
