The Noah bed is constructed of 2.4” thick solid European oiled oak and is composed of four distinct sections. The frame height of Noah bed is 11.75”, providing a standard recessed depth of 7.5” into which the mattress sits atop slatted support frames. For example, if the mattress you currently have has a height of 9” – 11”, this would create a visible reveal of only 1.5” – 3” once inserted into the frame – many less thick mattresses would simply become flush with the bed frame itself. Two underside runners elevate the frame 2.4” off the floor.
Allaeyes’ amusing Noah moniker alludes to the “ark” nature of his bed design. Indeed, it’s literally like a large, deep-welled rectilinear “tray” on which a mattress rests. Noah – available in both American queen and king sizes – instantly transforms any space. The massive rectilinear form and its associated “hardness” becomes a sophisticated and unexpected foil to the expected “softness” of the linen used for dressing the nearly flush positioning of the mattress. With the addition of runners on the underside, Noah bed creates the engaging illusion that it is “floating” above the floor.
The Noah bed is noted here with sizes appropriate for accommodating standard American queen and king mattresses.
